Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is not a new disease process but there is a clearer appreciation now of the pattern of symptoms which had previously been appreciated in many different ways. Distinguishing Features of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome:-

New onset of unexplained fatigue, Lasts for over 6 months, Not related to on-going exertion, Not substantially alleviated by rest and Associated with other symptoms.
